Warranty

All our computer systems come with 24 Months RTB (return to base) warranty with options to upgrade to 36 Months On-Site. Please refer to NWS website for terms & conditions.

Should a component fail, in the majority of cases we can determine the problem over the phone and send a replacement part ASAP. In other cases we can organise for our courier to pick up the entire system and return it to us (available in most areas).

 

Home Theatre PCs/GR-TEK Computer Systems warrants that the computer systems it manufactures will be free from defects in materials and workmanship. All systems are extensively & thoroughly tested, for several hours, to ensure that all parts & components are working correctly at the time of dispatch. The standard limited warranty term is 2 years beginning on the date of invoice.

This limited warranty does not cover damage due to external causes, including accident, abuse, misuse, overclocking, problems with electrical power, servicing not authorized by Home Theatre PCs/GR-TEK, usage not in accordance with product instructions, failure to perform required preventive maintenance, and problems caused by use of parts and components not supplied by Home Theatre PCs/GR-TEK. The limited warranty does not cover wear and tear to the computer case, such as broken audio & USB ports, scratches, LEDs and misaligned case panels unless reported within the first 7 days of receiving the computer system.

This limited warranty does not cover any items that are in one or more of the following categories: software; monitors, keyboards, and mice, accessories, LED’s or parts added to a Home Theatre PCs/GR-TEK system after the system is shipped from Home Theatre PCs/GR-TEK, accessories or parts added that are not installed in the Home Theatre PCs/GR-TEK workshop. We cannot guarantee that a customer’s own peripherals will work 100% with a HTPC supplied by Home Theatre PCs/GR-TEK. In some cases, Home Theatre PCs/GR-TEK represents the products we sell, but we have no control over the warranty of these products. Keyboards & Mice are warranted for 12 months only. Monitors carry manufacturers warranty.

During the warranty period beginning on the invoice date, Home Theatre PCs/GR-TEK will repair or replace products returned to Home Theatre PCs/GR-TEK workshop. To request limited warranty service, you must contact Home Theatre PCs/GR-TEK Technical Support within the limited warranty period before returning any item. You must ship the products back to Home Theatre PCs/GR-TEK in their original or equivalent packaging, prepay shipping charges, and insure the shipment or accept the risk of loss or damage during shipment. Home Theatre PCs/GR-TEK will ship the repaired or replacement products to you freight prepaid. NOTE: Before you ship the product(s) to Home Theatre PCs/GR-TEK, back up the important data on the hard-disk drive(s) and any other storage device(s) in the product(s). Although, we usually try and rescue or preserve data, anything can happen in the shipping of the system or parts, etc.

The end-user is responsible for all DATA. Home Theatre PCs/GR-TEK assumes no responsibilty for loss of DATA.

Home Theatre PCs/GR-TEK owns all parts removed from repaired products. Home Theatre PCs/GR-TEK uses new parts made by various manufacturers in performing limited warranty repairs. If Home Theatre PCs/GR-TEK repairs or replaces a product, its limited warranty term is not extended.

This warranty excludes Software issues including Viruses, Trojans, Worms, Malware and software and driver incompatibilities.
A service charge may apply if the system (hardware) is found not faulty.

THIS LIMITED WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS, AND YOU MAY ALSO HAVE OTHER RIGHTS THAT VARY FROM STATE TO STATE . Home Theatre PCs/GR-TEK'S RESPONSIBILITY FOR MALFUNCTIONS AND DEFECTS IN HARDWARE IS LIMITED TO REPAIR AND REPLACEMENT AS SET FORTH IN THIS LIMITED WARRANTY STATEMENT. THERE ARE NO IMPLIED OR EXPRESS WARRANTIES FOR THE PRODUCT, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF AND CONDITIONS OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. ALL SOFTWARE SOLD IS SOLD "AS IS" with no warranty of any kind. Please refer to manufacturer for software issues.

Home Theatre PCs/GR-TEK DOES NOT ACCEPT LIABILITY BEYOND THE REMEDIES SET FORTH IN THIS LIMITED WARRANTY STATEMENT OR LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY LIABILITY FOR PRODUCTS NOT BEING AVAILABLE FOR USE OR FOR LOST DATA OR SOFTWARE.
